Commitment to your church...WHAT IF:
1. What if everyone else attended Sunday School and Congregational worship as often as you?
2. What if everyone volunteered to help get a job done at your church as often as you do?
3. What if everyone else gave as much in the morning offering plate as you do?
4. What if everyone else talked about your church and Lord as much as you do?
5. What if everyone prayed as much as you do for your church?
6. What if everyone else came to Bible Studies as often as you do?
7. What if everyone else came to other church events than Sunday mornings as you do?
8. What if everyone else used their spiritual gift like you do?
Would your church building be open next year?
Would anything thing get done in the church?
Would the church be able to pay the bills?
Would your Lord feel like He has a ministry in Walford?
Just a reminder, Friends we need YOU and Your gifts to make our church a real ministry that is alive and growing...

One of my prayers
One of my prayers is "Lord please bring spring weather." March so far has been an extension of winter. With a low of 7 F just a couple of nights ago, it seemed like January. I know that the weather has a lot to do with how many of feel. Just recently in our church we did something unexpected. And it was received very well and a blessing to many. It was a Sunday that was set as Praise the Lord Sunday. We stopped and looked at all the things and ways we had for being thankful to the Lord. When we stop and look and recognize and thank and praise the Lord we are all lifted up. For my lesson that day, I had a photo of a wilted rose. It was a close up. I said that many times all we can see in life is the wilted roses. Then I showed a photo of the rose bush that had the wilted rose on it...and it was full of blooms. That is the way life is sometimes. We focus on the wrong thing. That is why the Lord tells us to be thankful always and in all things and to offer Him praise. We are looking at the full picture when we do that. We have so much to be thankful for, our salvation, forgiveness, just knowing Him, knowing His promises, knowing that He is with us and will never forsake us, knowing that all things work together for good and that one day, yes ONE DAY we will be with Him and will have finished the race. So look at the big picture.

Ernie Derr mid 1960's
I got these two photos off of a Wisconsin Racing Photo website.
Here is Ernie Derr in 1964 in a Plymouth.
I remember him bringing this car to the Louisa County Fairgrounds in Columbus Junction, Iowa for an IMCA Late Model Race and when
he drove the car out of the infield/pitts, he stomped on the
accelerator on the big HEMI and the whole grandstand SHOOK!!!!
That is something you never forget. I don't think that the IMCA
ran too many races on pavement. Most of their races at the time were
on dirt county and state fair ground tracks.
Here is Ernie in a Dodge I believe in 1965.
Ernie is #3 and Bob Julusa is #1. I wish there was
a tour of stock cars that ran on dirt that the cars acutally looked like
the cars you drive on the road, like they did back in
those days!
I love Old Threshing photos
I like to look at Old Threshing Photos. I could of lived in those days. Diane's grandpa Hoopes, used to do the threshing run from Kansas up into Canada when he was in college back in the late 20's. Here is a 1914 photo.

Old Tractors and kids
My old 1950 Allis Chalmers WD is still a good photo background. We still plant corn, cultivate, mow, go on tractor rides, move snow and just have fun with it.
Car Ramp Racing Fun Grandkids
The Grand kids having fun like our kids used to have! They can play with this for a long time!
