One of my prayers is "Lord please bring spring weather." March so far has been an extension of winter. With a low of 7 F just a couple of nights ago, it seemed like January. I know that the weather has a lot to do with how many of feel. Just recently in our church we did something unexpected. And it was received very well and a blessing to many. It was a Sunday that was set as Praise the Lord Sunday. We stopped and looked at all the things and ways we had for being thankful to the Lord. When we stop and look and recognize and thank and praise the Lord we are all lifted up. For my lesson that day, I had a photo of a wilted rose. It was a close up. I said that many times all we can see in life is the wilted roses. Then I showed a photo of the rose bush that had the wilted rose on it...and it was full of blooms. That is the way life is sometimes. We focus on the wrong thing. That is why the Lord tells us to be thankful always and in all things and to offer Him praise. We are looking at the full picture when we do that. We have so much to be thankful for, our salvation, forgiveness, just knowing Him, knowing His promises, knowing that He is with us and will never forsake us, knowing that all things work together for good and that one day, yes ONE DAY we will be with Him and will have finished the race. So look at the big picture.
